Anthropologie licensed this mid-mod and script combo for a graphic tee as part of their Maeve Pre-Fall 2025 collection. As a long-time shopper of Anthropologie, I was feeling rad indeed to see this piece come to life.

The piece started out as most of my lettering does, with a super rough sketch, refined and finished in Procreate. I used to be a little embarrassed about my messy sketchbook. Over time, I’ve learned to appreciate the latitude of these loose sketches. It’s a method that allows me to stay loose and work out some details as I complete a piece, rather than getting locked in. After vectoring the lettering in 2022, I posted it to socials, where it hung out before catching the eye of Anthropologie’s print team.
