Anthropologie licensed “You Are So Rad” a mid-mod serif and script combo for a graphic tee as part of their Maeve Pre-Fall 2025 collection. I’ve been an Anthropologie customer since since forever. It was rad indeed to see this piece come to life.

I drew and posted “You Are So Rad” in 2021, to say thanks to followers and friends who helped me sell a bunch of prints at MCAD’s famous Art Sale. (Original photo, left or below if you’re on your phone.) The piece started with a few doodles in my sketchbook refined in Procreate. I later added Spencerian lettering for the script forms. (I used to be a little embarrassed about my messy sketchbook. Over time, and after type school, I’ve learned to appreciate the latitude of these loose sketches. Simple, unrefined sketches keeps the piece loose and allows me to work out some details as I complete a piece, rather than getting locked in at the start.)

I vectored the lettering in 2022, and reposted it to socials, where it hung out until January 2025 when it caught the eye of Anthropolgie’s print team.

“You Are So Rad” is currently licensed for apparel through mid-2026. Please contact me if you are interested in licensing this piece for other products.
